"I didn't do it on purpose!"

Gesturing wildly and yelling "I didn't do it ON PURPOSE!" to a brother you've just unintentionally hurt,

isn't very reassuring.

And often incites more anger: "Yes you DID!"

    Yes, I spend way to much time explaining that "even if you didn't MEAN to do it, you still need to say you're sorry."
