My sister Karolyn is serving a mission in Russia for our church. She is in Irkutsk right now, and claims that we shouldn't worry about how cold it is (she reassures us by saying, "Don't worry, I'm alive!").
She says it's "only" -23 degrees in the picture she sent us.
I'm a little worried! Can you see her frozen eyelashes?
(She also says that no, she is not chewing on her scarf)

Wow, that is an awesome picture! I hope she's talking about the temperature in Celsius! That would make it about -10 in Fahrenheit, which actually isn't too much colder than it's been in the midwest this winter. But walking around in that weather is so cold!

Isn't our baby girl just adorable! I love her eyes! I had frozen eyelashes in Argentina each winter morning as I wakened. But there was no snow.
She looks like a model with all the frost on her hair and eyelashes. I' so pleased she's putting up with the cold to help so many people.
Poor Karolyn. It looks SO cold, but it's a great picture. I'm still shocked by how grown up she is. I still think of her as one of the babies of the cousins, along with Kyle (sp?)and Heather.
I agree with Kristy- my first thought was that she looks like a model. I hope it warms up for her soon! She'll probably think Logan is warm when she gets home. :)
